Mauritius Land and Environment

With its 18 exhibits occupying an area of about 400 sq. m, this gallery explores the geology of Mauritius and informs visitors about the important issues regarding the land and environment of our country. Interactive exhibits highlight the fascinating marine ecosystem surrounding our island. The central exhibit portrays the extinction of the Dodo due to irrational exploitation of natural resources by people. Information about the weather is available in real-time at the Weather Station.
